Overview

Polk Mechanical is looking for an Account Executive to develop and grow relationships with owners, general contractors, developers, and industry partners across the commercial construction market. You'll serve as a strategic liaison between clients and our internal operations teams, driving new business and supporting long-term partnerships that fuel Polk's continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and service projects
  • Support estimating and preconstruction teams by coordinating client needs and bid opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and capability statements
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and estimating teams on successful project handoff
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on project status and future opportunities
  • Participate in networking events, industry associations, and customer engagement activities
  • Assist with contract review, negotiations, and project award processes
  • Track sales activities and customer interactions within company systems
  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in business development, sales, account management, or client relations
  • Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing, or MEP industry preferred
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional client relationships
  • Experience working with owners, general contractors, developers, or facility managers preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Ability to travel to client locations, project sites, and industry events
