Polk Mechanical is seeking a Pipefitter Journeyman responsible for the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. • Select appropriate pipe types and sizes based on job specifications
• Inspect worksites to identify obstructions and ensure structural integrity
• Plan installation sequences to avoid conflicts with other trades
• Assemble and install metal and non-metal piping systems, including brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic
• Join piping using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints
• Secure piping systems using clamps, brackets, and hangers
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, and controls
• Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and diagnostic tools
• Perform welding as required for system installation

• Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial pipefitting or HVAC/mechanical systems
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in cutting, bending, welding, and assembling piping systems
• Strong understanding of piping codes and installation standards
• Ability to visualize three-dimensional layouts from plans and specifications
• Comfortable working within precise limits and standards of accuracy
• Must have a valid driver's license
