Overview

Polk Mechanical is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to track progress, identify risks, and maintain accurate scheduling throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules from preconstruction through project completion
  • Coordinate with project managers and field teams to gather progress updates
  • Analyze schedule impacts and identify potential delays or conflicts
  • Track project milestones, critical paths, and deadlines
  • Assist in planning sequencing of work and resource allocation
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to project stakeholders
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedule integrity
  • Prepare reports and schedule analysis for management review
  • Support coordination between trades and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in construction scheduling, project management, or related field
  • Experience working with construction schedules and timelines
  • Scheduling certifications (PMP, PSP, or similar) preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project workflows
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
